Download Bridge Tutor and run it on your PC. Enjoy the large screen and high-definition quality on your PC!
Learn and play Contract Bridge using Standard American, Acol or SEF (French) bidding. Play with rubber scoring or as a duplicate match.From novice to expert, you will keep coming back to play one more hand!
Bridge Tutor contains a starter pack of ten lessons for each of the three bidding systems it supports. Learn how bridge is played and why it is such an addictive game.
Additional lessons can be purchased in-app, or created and shared between users. Lessons are created as text files in a standard format. Information on how to create them is on the app web-site.
Lessons generally start with the user picking up a hand, then take them through the bidding and the play in a series of 'slides'. Slides can have a quiz at the end. Revisit the lessons as many times as you like. At the end of the lesson, switch to play mode and replay the deal in detail.
In the play, Bridge Tutor supports:
- a complete set of system and conventional bids for SAYC, Acol and SEF
- slam bidding conventions
- stopper showing (or asking) bids for finding notrump contracts;
- control cue-bids for finding slam contracts in an agreed suit.
The bidding systems defined for use in the app are set out in detail on the app web-site.
At each stage (the deal, the bidding and the play of the cards), Bridge Tutor provides extra information about the expected outcome, to help you learn the game and improve your understanding of it.
Bridge Tutor improves on other bridge apps by:
- being designed for usability on a small touch screen;
- giving you the impression that you are actually playing a hand of bridge;
- showing on the 'info' screens the odds and expected outcomes.
The app does not 'know' when it bids or plays where all the cards are - it uses what the bidding and play have revealed. But the app can and does use the power and speed of computer logic to make the best bid or play that it can at each opportunity.
You can be the judge of whether we have created a better bridge app!
