"Stay Cool This Season with Fortnite's Summer Escape Event
The dog days are back, and so are the Summer Escape challenges in Fortnite. Epic Games hosts an annual summertime event in this popular battle royale game, featuring a variety of quests and rewarding experiences. These missions will gradually unlock and will be available until July 18th. Most of the festivities take place at the Sunswoon Lagoon POI, which will close at the end of the Summer Escape event.
Summer can bring intense heat, and Fortnite players definitely feel it. To beat the heat, Epic has reintroduced refreshing treats like the Frozen Ice Cream Cone and Lil Whip's Special Serve. Additionally, the Firework Flare Gun has made a comeback, replacing the regular flare gun.
Summer Escape Quests
The event features a questline divided into three segments. Each segment releases a few days after its predecessor. Completing these quests not only rewards players with bucketloads of XP but also grants them a cosmetic item.
- The Quench (July 4th to 7th) - Nanners Wrap
- Lagoon Party (July 8th to 11th) - Treezy Back Bling
- Make an Entrance (July 12th to 16th) - Blossom Drop Contrail
Furthermore, players who complete specific numbers of Summer Escape Quests will unlock additional rewards, including the Wild Fronds Back Bling, Bugsy Glider, Toasted Coconut Emote, and the Lagoon Escape Loading Screen.
Summer Cosmetics
No summer event is complete without new cosmetics in Summer Escape. Alongside returning favorites, the event introduces the Opal and Chaos Explorer skins. Battle Pass holders also have the opportunity to acquire the exclusive Purradise Meowscles outfit, available from July 6th until the end of the season.
Epic Games hasn't forgotten about Fortnite Crew subscribers either. Subscribers must log in before July 18th to claim the Nanner Buddy Back Bling, a special cosmetic item inspired by community member D3nni. It even comes with a Tropical alt style.
