Azur Lane Beginner's Guide 2025 - A Comprehensive Guide

2025-03-27

Azur Lane is a tactical shooter game where you are going to create your battle fleet by collecting powerful ships. As an Azur Lane beginner, it is crucial to know about everything related to the gameplay, including the main campaign, commissions, equipment system, ship-building process, and so on. After learning all of them with our comprehensive guide, you can play Azur Lane on PC with LDPlayer.

Azur Lane Beginner's Guide 2025 - A Comprehensive Guide

Follow the Main Campaign

The main campaign is where you should follow from the beginning of the game because it is the main mode that helps you to progress faster. This campaign is categorized into different chapters, each with different stages for you to complete. Completing every stage in a chapter lets you move from one chapter to another and so on.

By continually progressing in this main campaign mode, you can easily level up in the game, and you will also earn in-game currencies, shards to collect characters, and some designs and weapons for your ships.

Follow the Main Campaign

In every stage, there are win conditions that you need to follow. Accomplishing all these win conditions allows you to obtain a maximum of three stars in each stage. Also, if you can't accomplish at least even one winning condition, you will lose the stage. Most of these stages are about battles. You should create the best fleet and destroy the enemies successfully to win every battle stage.

Understand the Equipment System

As an Azur Lane beginner, your next priority is to learn about the equipment system that you can access from the depot tab from the main menu of the game. With the equipment, you can power up the ships in your fleet, which are the characters in the game. Through the depot, you can view the equipment, enhance it, craft it, or destroy unwanted items. In the depot, there are only three hundred equipment items that can be stored at once. But you can expand the storage by using gems.

Here is what you can mainly do through the depot related to the equipment system.

Understand the Equipment System

  • Upgrade - All the equipment items that you can see in the depot can be enhanced. Tap the equipment you want and then hit the enhance button to enhance it. Upgrading the rank of the gear will enhance their stats, such as the strength and the damage modifier. In order to upgrade the rank of every piece of gear, you need the gear parts of the relevant tier with coins. The higher the rank of the gear, the more consumables will be required.

  • Disassemble - You can disassemble the unwanted gear in the depot in exchange for coins. But remember, the amount of coins you receive from disassembling the gear items will always be less than the amount you invested in them to upgrade them.

  • Craft - You can design new gear pieces for your gameplay through this section. When you have the required amount of blueprints for a specific gear, you can craft them using the blueprints you've got. These equipment blueprints can be found through research or participating in events. Depending on the rarity of the gear you want to farm, the number of blueprints and coins that will be required will change.

Commissions for Amazing Rewards

Commissions are a part of the game that you can send your Azur Lane ships to complete the missions in order to obtain items, resources, and EXP you need. Once you reach level ten, you can unlock the commissions. But each commission requires a different player level to allow you to complete them.

Commissions for Amazing Rewards

Only by reaching the required level, you can start completing the commissions. When the level of the commission gets higher, you can earn greater rewards by completing them. When completing the commissions, you should not only consider the player level, but also ensure that the required number of ships at the appropriate level will participate in them.

Once all the requirements are fulfilled, you can send the ships to complete each commission. Completing these commissions gives you coins, oil, wisdom cubes, skill books, equipment boxes, ship blueprints, and even gems.

Azur Lane Gacha System

The Gacha system is where you can build new ships for your gameplay. As an Azur Lane beginner, you need to have a clear idea about it to understand what it takes to obtain the best ships. To access the gacha system within the gameplay, you should go to the build menu from the main screen, and there, you will see different kinds of construction methods that you can use to build your ship. They are as follows:

  • Light Construction - 1 Wisdom Cube + 600 Coins.

  • Heavy Construction - 2 Wisdom Cubes + 1500 Coins.

  • Special Construction - 2 Wisdom Cubes + 1500 Coins.

With the required resources, you can start creating ships using any of the construction methods in the build system. Also, there is the pity system in this build system, where you can earn pity points every time you spend wisdom cubes and exchange them for an Ultra Rare ship upon reaching the required amount of pity points, usually 400 points.

When speaking of the gacha systems given for each construction pool, the higher rarity ships are given the lower drop rates and the lower rarity ships are given the higher drop rates. So, when it comes to building higher rarity ships through the build system, you can go for rerolling, which lets you reset your gameplay progress multiple times until you get the chance to build the best ships of higher rarities.

Rerolling using one account will be tiresome and consume a lot of your time. It is because you use the same account to play the game and then repeatedly reset the game data until you get your desired ships. So we suggest you use the Multi-Instance Sync feature in LDPlayer to create multiple accounts to reroll at once and obtain the best ships to build efficiently and quickly.

Create the Best Team Composition

Understanding how to create the best team composition is crucial for an Azur Lane beginner. The way you build your team early on will greatly impact your success in every battle. When assembling your fleet for battle, you need to primarily create two fleets: one for mobbing and another for boss fights.

Create the Best Team Composition

Mob Fleet

The mob fleet should be built to focus on killing everything on the stage, but not the boss. Also, they should be strong enough to sustain multiple battles in a row. Unicorn, Monarch(flag), Centaur/Enty, along with Baltimore(front), Kazagumo(middle), and Sylla(back), are the best ships for the mob fleet.

Boss Fleet

The boss fleet should be built to focus on attacking only the boss in the battles, and they should be in their full health statuses before entering the battles. Also, you should prioritize building them to unleash the maximum damage during the battles. Yorktown, Musashi(flag), NJ, accompanied by Minneapolis(front), Laffey Retro/Sandy Retro(middle), and Montpelier(back), are the best compositions for the boss fleet.
